My Favorite Moment From Every DCEU Movie

My Favorite Moment From Every DCEU Movie

It’s been over a year since the last DCEU movie, and Black Adam has dropped in theaters. So today with the 12th DCEU movie coming out, I wanted to share my favorite moment from every DCEU movie. Let’s get started!

  • MAN OF STEEL: Superman’s First Flight: And this is a movie that has really grown on me the more that I’ve watched it. Because it took me a while to warm-up to this movie, and really like it. But I think the stand out scene for this movie is when Clark Kent discovers who he is talks with Russell Crowe, gets the Superman suit and becomes Superman for the first time. Origin stories are very interesting to tell, and I think this movie tells the Superman origin story rather well. And just seeing Clark Kent as Superman using his powers for the first time is very cool to see. It also helps that the score written by Hans Zimmer is very very cool, and one of his best of his career. And one of the best scores in any comic book movie. And it’s one of those scores that just pumps me up, gets me ampbed up to be a superhero.

  • BATMAN VS SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE: Wonder Woman’s Entrance: In general, this isn’t one of the strong points when it comes to the DCEU. I think it does have a lot of story issues, but what’s frustrating about this one is that there are some fantastic moments. And the most chill inducing moment of the entire moment comes in the finale when Batman and Superman are both down fighting Doomsday, Doomsday fires his beam at Batman, but it doesn’t hit him. Wonder Woman jumps in the way and you get that epic theme song by Hans Zimmer. And it’s just one of those moments, that when it happened in the trailer it was so exciting. And I think the moment would have been cooler if it wasn’t shown in the trailers, it would have been cool if they didn’t market that Wonder Woman was in this movie.

  • SUICIDE SQUAD (2016): Suicide Squad vs Henchman (First Fight): Again not one of the stronger DCEU movies, but unlike Batman v Superman this isn’t a movie a that has a lot of stand out moments for me. But I do think the first fight between Enchantress’s henchmen and the Suicide Squad is actually pretty good. Everybody gets a moment to shine and kick some butt. You get this cool shot of Deadshot on top of a car shooting the henchmen while it’s in slow-mo, it’s a cool moment. And I wish we got more moments/action scenes like this in the entire movie. Because if we got more moments like this then I think the movie as a whole would have been better.

  • WONDER WOMAN: No Man’s Land: Now this is a movie that is absolutely a strong point for the DCEU, and for a while this was my favorite movie inside of the DCEU. And this is another movie that has a bunch of fantastic moments inside of it. But I think the No Man’s Land scene is the best one, and certainly the one that is talked about the most. Where it’s the first time where Diana fully embraces her true power and becomes Wonder Woman. It’s so empowering to have her doing a duty that most people won’t have the guts to actually pull off. The music is so inspiring and awesome, it fits the scene really well. So when I think of great moments from this movie, this is one that comes to mind.

  • JUSTICE LEAGUE (2017): Justice League vs Superman: This is a movie that isn’t very good, but it’s a movie that does have a lot of pretty solid moments inside of it. And the one that I think stands out the most is when Superman is resurrected and fights Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg it’s fun to see Superman turn evil and be this powerful, unstoppable force that not even these four heroes, four powerful heroes can stop. The little moments between Superman and The Flash in this scene where The Flash is using Flashtime, and Superman is turning his head and you have this looks of panic across Ezra Miller’s Flash as he just realizes how powerful Superman actually is. So in a movie that is certainly the worst movie in the franchise, it’s actually a pretty good moment.

  • AQUAMAN: Rooftop Chase: One of the best aspects of this movie is the action, I think it’s some of the best action inside of the DCEU. James Wan, the director shoots his action is wide shots and you can see everything that is happening. The shot with Mera running across the rooftops with Black Manta’s henchmen running through the building underneath him is a cool shot. Getting to see Aquaman go up against his most iconic villain in Black Manta is very fun to see, I hope we get a lot more of it in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. And so in general, I think this action scene is the best action of the entire movie.

  • SHAZAM!: Training Montage: Now there were a few moments from this movie that I did debate going with. But when superhero training montages are done right, they are great. And this is a great superhero montage and it just has all of the antics and fun of the entire movie. Having Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” and with it being a fast paced song it really does fit the energy and pacing of the scene. In this montage I think you get some of the best laughs and the most memorable moments for me. Whenever I watch this movie, this is the moment that sticks out to me the most.

  • BIRDS OF PREY AND THE FANTABULOUS EMANCIPATION OF ONE HARLEY QUINN: Prison Escape: Now I think this is the movie that wins the award for the best action inside of the DCEU. And I appreciated that it’s very street level action with almost no CGI, I’m not sure how much CGI I was used in the movie…I wouldn’t be surprised if it was almost zero. And you also have Margot Robbie in on the action, you watch behind the scenes videos for this movie and it’s Margot Robbie actually doing it. And the best action scene here is when Harley Quinn is breaking Cassandra Cain out of the prison and she you have the fire sprinkles spraying water everywhere and you have Harley with this gun that shots bombs full of confetti. The practical action is brutal and you can see everything going on. And the environment and what weapons are being used here, makes this the most memorable action scene of the entire movie.

  • WONDER WOMAN 1984: Desert Battle: Now I know this is a movie that a bunch of people aren’t the biggest fan of it, they find it to be a flawed film that isn’t very good. As for me, I dig this movie I gave it a positive review when I watched it. And like the first film, one of the things the movie gets right is the action. Here you get plenty of great Wonder Woman action that is dynamic and you can see everything that is happening. And as I watching this movie, this is the action sequence that stood out to me the most. And the one that I found to be the most exciting of the bunch.

  • ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE (2021): The Final Battle: A pretty significant improvement over Justice League (2017) and I think the finale for this movie is a much better verison of the finale from Justice League (2017). And I think the big reason for this is because the characters are properly fleshed out from beginning to end in this movie. Each of them are given a character arc that is payed off greatly in this finale. Everybody gets a moment to shine and be awesome. The Flash and Superman being the two stand outs for me. And it is this big epic fun finale that is what you wanted the final battle in Justice League (2017) to be.

  • THE SUICIDE SQUAD (2021): Rescuing Rick Flag: For me, this is my favorite DCEU movie and this is the scene that I think works the best. Where Amanda Waller has a team consistenting of Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Polka-Dot Man, King Shark, and Ratcatcher II that are reassigned to rescue Rick Flag. And you get this stealth sequence where they are trying to be as quiet as possible. And you get thai rivalry between Bloodsport and Peacemaker as they are trying to kill people, by out doing the other person. It leads to some of the gooriest kills of the entire movie and some of the biggest laughs for me. So easily, this moment is the stand out for me in my favorite DCEU movie.

  • BLACK ADAM: Black Adam vs The Justice Soceity of America: Now I think one of the big positives for this movie was the action and how it was handled. And I think this scene delivers the best action of the entire movie. Where you have The Justice Soceity head to the city where Black Adam is at and everybody gets their turn to try and stop him. And we see the full effect of The Justice Soceity’s powers. Where Doctor Fate’s power is very similiar to Doctor Strange you get some cool Doctor Strange type visuals. Likewise, Hawkman is more of a warrior in the movie so he brings that style of action. Plus you do get plenty of fun humor that works to put a smile on your face. So overall, this was the scene that I had the most fun with.
