Top 10 Favorite Legends of Tomorrow Episodes

Top 10 Favorite Legends of Tomorrow Episodes

Just a couple months back it was announced that after seven seasons, Legends of Tomorrow wouldn’t not return for its 8th season. So it seemed like a great opportunity to share my 10 favorite episodes from Legends of Tomorrow.

10. Bishop’s Gambit (Season 6, Episode 6): An episode that in the large scope of season 6 was very important. We learn more about Bishop and what's been going on with him, and I love his back and forth dynamic with Sara in this episode. And it does really change the trajectory of the season with it being revealed that Sara is an android, a super interesting twist that really works for me. It is an episode that is very engaging, intriguing, you’re wondering what’s going to happen next. The team meets Amelia Earhart which makes the team learn about what’s going on with Sara. And it’s an episode that overall I thought was really good, and it was my favorite episode from season 6.

9. Here I Go Again (Season 3, Episode 11): A fun episode that was the first episode to do the time loop concept within the Arrowverse. And since they did it first, it’s the most original and the most fun of the bunch. And this was an episode that focused on Zari which I think was a good idea because it helped us get a better understanding as to who she is as a character, it’s good growth for her character. Also, time travel/time loop stories are very fun and very entertaining if done right, and this episode is done right. Now this episode is very much a filler episode, it doesn’t tie into the main plot of the season at all. But as a stand alone episode, it’s one of the show’s best.

8. Out of Time (Season 2, Episode 1): Easily the best season premiere that the show ever did, and for me it’s not even close. I like that we get a lot of Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen in this episode. Nate Heywood is a fun character and I like his introduction in this episode. It’s also fun that in the present timeline The Legends are “dead”, and 90% of the episode is flashbacks leading to them “dying”. And that’s a very clever way to do an episode on this show, because with it being a time travel show they can easily do that sort of thing. And the actual adventure the characters are on is very fun. And it’s back when the ensemble of characters was still very entertaining and a great set of characters.

7. The Good, the Bad, and the Cuddly (Season 3, Episode 18): One of the best season finales of the show. And one that does have a lot to offer. Right off the bat, episodes that focus on The Old West are always fun. And I love the final fight against Mallus with The Legends using the totems to create this giant Bebo toy. And it’s some of the best visual effects of the entire show, the entire fight looks really cool. And the cliffhanger here is exciting and made me excited for season 4, even though now seeing season 4 it didn’t lead into the best season of the show. So all in all, this is a fun episode that does have a lot to offer when it comes to season finales and season 3 as a whole.

6. No Country for Old Dads (Season 3, Episode 13): Yet again another episode from season 3, and this is my favorite episode from season 3. And what I love about this episode is that you do get a lot of Damien Darhk, and this is like Neal McDonough in his prime where he is just firing on all sides of the character. You do get that start of the bond between Ray and Nora that I thought went in a positive direction. And I always enjoy episodes that focus a large portion of the episode on the villain, so this episode doing just that is a big positive. So I find this episode to be very entertaining and it does have a lot to offer.

5. Aruba (Season 2, Episode 17): This episode would be my favorite season finale of the show, and I just love what they did with this episode. They went back to an episode previously in the season and played it out in a very different way. And in a way that I thought made for a fun episode, and a new type of episode to do in this show. I think the final fight between The Legends and Thawne is great, it’s a great little fight that shows how great of a villain Thawne is in this season. The moments with Sara reuniting with Laurel is fairly emotional, and a nice character moment for Sara. And so when you mix the concept, action, and moments together you get a great episode.

4. Doomworld (Season 2, Episode 16): The penultimate episode of the season is a great episode that very much makes this bizarro world where the villains are in rule, and The Legends are living very mundane and normal lives in Central City. And that’s such a fun concept for an episode, do a “what if” type episode in the show, and they use that very well in this episode. I And getting to see more of Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart is always very fun to see, and he’s great in this episode. It all leads to a very shocking and somewhat emotional finale with death and loss. So this is an episode that I’ve always loved, and I think it’s easily one of the show’s best.

3. Star City 2046 (Season 1, Episode 6): Easily the best episode from season 1 of the show. And of the different places that The Legends have visited through-out time, this is one of my favorites. Because you get to see Star City in this post apocalyptic world after Oliver did fail his city. You get Stephen Amell being able to act as Old Man Oliver and it’s great to see. Amell can pull it off very well. You also do get some nice character moments with Snart and Mick and I thought both of them were used nicely. And you see them starting to drift apart as their bromance starts to fade. And it’s fun to see Deathstroke again, even if it’s not the same version of the character from Arrow.

2. The One Where We’re Trapped on T.V. (Season 5, Episode 14): Another fun and clever way to do an episode of this tv show. Where the aliens have The Legends as tv stars and acting in tv shows that are parodies of Friends, Downton Abbey, and Star Trek. And you even get a bit of Mr. Rogers threw in there as well. Each of the different bits are highly entertaining, and it’s fun to see these characters acting in these shows. And it’s goofy, it’s cheesy but it fits the show. The show is meant to be very cheesy and goofy, and this episode embraces all of that cheesy. So even though it’s in a weaker season this episode is fantastic.

1. Legion of Doom (Season 2, Episode 10): Now I think that The Legion of Doom makes for the best villains of the show. They took 2 top tier villains of The Flash and Arrow, and one good villain from Arrow and put them together and we got The Legion of Doom. Thawne, Merlyn, and Darhk make for a great time that is fun to watch. And an episode focused on them should be great, has potential to be great and it ended up being great. Since we spend a lot of time with them this episode we see that group dynamic, we see what makes them tick a bit more. We learn that Black Flash, Zoom are hunting down Thawne. And it really just does develop them as characters.

There you have it, my 10 favorite episodes of Legends of Tomorrow. What is your favorite episode of the show? Thanks for reading!
