The Book of Boba Fett Episodes Ranked

The Book of Boba Fett Season 1 Episodes Ranked

This week The Book of Boba Fett ended it’s first season. So today I’m going to be ranking all 7 episodes from season 1 of The Book of Boba Fett. Let’s get started!

7. Chapter 2: The Tribes of Tatooine (Episode 2): It did progress the plot forward with the flashbacks and I appreciated that they made The Tusken Raiders more relatable creatures with a story to them. But even though all of this stuff is happening, I don’t really care about any of it. Whether it’s the stuff in the past or the present, none of it has really been working for me. So I guess this episode is fine, but it didn’t really do much to wow me all that much. Really, the only positives are the stuff with The Tusken Raiders and maybe some cool action set pieces here and there, but besides that a totally mediocre episode.

6. Chapter 1: Strange from A Strange Land (Episode 1): What I just appreciate about this show as a whole is that it is something new and different in the world of Star Wars. It doesn’t follow an obvious template of previous Star Wars movies. And I like that, it also feels similar to The Mandalorian but different at the same time. But what I think really hurts this episode is that nothing in the episode was particularly memorable or exciting. It’s a Star Wars show, and there should be something in this episode that made people talk on the internet. But this episode just primarily filled in a few gaps that we already knew about Boba Fett.

5. Chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa (Episode 3): For me this was an episode that I thought worked on a bunch of different levels. I appreciated that it fleshed out the present day timeline more, something that was missing from episodes 1 and 2. So I got a better understanding of this world. I also liked the new people helping out Boba Fett and Fennec, I thought they were just nice additions to the show. And there is some cool action in this episode that worked for me. And so just in general, this was the first episode of the show that I felt like came together properly.

4. Chapter 7: In The Name of Honor (Episode 7): This was a fun but frustrating finale to the show. It’s a lot of fun to see Boba Fett and The Mandalorian teaming up to defeat an army of people. And the fact that this episode is largely a big battle is really fun and exciting. But on a story level, this episode was not properly set up for the rest of the season. So I didn’t care when they defeated the villains of the show, because I didn’t care about any of them. So even the final confrontation between Boba Fett and Cad Bane should have a lot more emotional weight to it. But it didn’t, so it was frustrating.

3. Chapter 4: The Gathering Storm (Episode 4): A very good 4th episode in this season that did a number of things right. It did develop the main present day plot line really well. I thought after 3 episodes of doing half present day half flashbacks doing an episode that was largely dedicated to the present day really helped. And just getting the tease of The Mandalorian being in the show as a nice touch that got me excited for episode 5. And this episode helped give me a better sense of what the finale to the show was going to be. All of it was very well done, so easily one of the best episodes of the show.

2. Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes A Stranger (Episode 6): This is one that is so frustrating to me, an episode that I didn’t know where to place. Because this episode has so many great cameos, fan service, and heartfelt moments. But it’s also an episode that feels more like episode 2 of The Mandalorian season 3 rather than episode 6 of The Book of Boba Fett. While this episode is great, I don’t think it works as an episode of this show. Boba Fett is in the episode for like 30 seconds and doesn’t even say anything, like Fennec has more lines in this episode then Boba Fett does. That’s so weird and frustrating, so I wanted to put this episode at number 1 but I can’t for the reasons I mentioned earlier.

1. Chapter 5: The Return of the Mandalorian (Episode 5): For me, this was the first episode of the season that I thought was great. And it’s interesting that the title character of the show, Boba Fett wasn’t even in this episode. But still one of the best episodes in my opinion. And I appreciated that this episode was essentially the season premiere for season 3 of The Mandalorian. It seemed to set up some of the acrs going on for season 3 of that show. While teasing more of a larger threat going on through-out the season. Plus, Mando is just a really cool character that is always fun to see. And there are nice touches of humor. But the final 10-15 minutes of Mando with his friend on Tatooine was stretched out way too long. But in general, a great episode and the best of the season.

There you have it, my ranking of the episodes in The Book of Boba Fett. What was your favorite episode? Also, come back tomorrow and I will be ranking the 2 seasons of The Mandalorian with this season. Thanks for reading!
